The Scholar skill lets heroes exchange spells with just one skilled hero needed. This is great for learning up to level 4 spells without visiting all castles. Click on each hero to trade spells efficiently. When fighting elementals, use magic classes they’re vulnerable to. Check out transistor. It has tons of athmosphere with unique graphics and awesome soundtrack. It's got a mix of real-time and turn based combat + an interesting way to combine abilities. Apart from that it's very different from HoMM, but it's relaxing and fun to play. I think you might also enjoy Child of Light.

Does anyone know of any games with gameplay similar to HoMM for the PS4? Grand strategy is a thin genre on consoles. I'm a fan of Kou Shibusawa games, so you could try Romance of the Three Kingdoms or Nobunaga's Ambition. They've got a lot of the bases covered (leaders with RPG stats, base building, unit combat).
