To clarify, split screen play is available and working on Modern Warfare 2, but in limited capacity. From the amount of people you can play with to what game modes you can specifically play, split
Modern Warfare(2019) does have Spec Ops though which is sort of a short multiplayer campaign, albeit not a very great one. I’d recommend checking out BO3 the most as it has split screen for the campaign on both PC and console and also has a zombies version of the campaign for when you beat the normal one.
No split screen for CoD on PC. The Treyarch games have controller support, but IW tend to don't. Unfortunately, we have discovered that it is only possible to use Split-Screen for private matches, and not in regular online multiplayer matchmaking. Not even in Cooperative (Campaign) mode. Split-screen is available but it hasn't been working since the Caldera update. AFAIK spec ops is online only. IDK if you would be able to play it split-screen but you would need Xbox Live to play it regardless. If you do not have Live then you would only be able to play private matches offline.
Screenshot by GameSkinny. While local split screen multiplayer is possible in Modern Warfare 3, letting you squad up or play against friends in the flesh, you can’t play MW3 Zombies in split screen. Considering how predicated the game mode is on teamwork, it’s a somewhat baffling decision — especially considering other MP modes allow it. I9RkmD.
